High Security Lock Systems.
ArmorVault™ has no external dials, handles, or locks to break, chisel, drill or otherwise cause costly damage from an attempted forced entry. Other systems such as combination locks, will most likely be damaged from attempted break-ins and cost hundreds of dollars in repairs. Locks can be keyed alike or differently upon request.
The locking system consists of 2 positive action locks* manufactured by American Lock Company. The AM 2000 series is a 6 pin key-type lock, which is incorporated into a housing that is welded to the inside of the door. This virtually eliminates the possibility of picking or punching the lock. You must reach in then up to insert the key, and each lock is independent of the other.
Also, each lock is protected by nine high carbon steel pins to prevent drilling from the side, and a heat treated hard plate to protect against penetration from the front.
*Model 705 - Equipped standard with single lock.
Concealed Hinges.
The prime attack point by most burglars is the hinge system, which usually results in irreparable damage and in some cases successful forced entry. All models of ArmorVault™ feature unique interior self-protecting hinges, which are IMPOSSIBLE to grind, chisel, torch or remove in order to allow forced entry. Hinges are covered by a LIFETIME Warranty.
In addition, the 1/4" steel plate door is formed with a unique double 90 degree break, forming a channel around the perimeter to greatly increase strength, rigidity, and resistance to attempted forced entry.
